8th International Congress of the World Federation of Ozone Therapy (WFOT) was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, August 29-31, 2024.
A total of 1,000 participants from all continents /650 in person and 350 electronically/ with access to the presentations until February 2025.
More than 60 speakers from Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico, USA, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Uruguay, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Moldova, Israel and China presented their experiences, new articles and studies on ozone therapy around the world, distributed in 3 halls from all fields of human, dental and veterinary medicine and cosmetics.
Bulgarian participation of BAOOT was presented by Prof. Dr. Krasimir Shelev and Dr. Georgi Petreshkovski. Prof. Shelev presented to the prestigious audience his lecture on the combined application of neural and paravertebral ozone therapy for spinal lumbar pain. The lecture was met with interest and additional questions from the audience.
New presidency of WFOT on a rotating electoral principle was won by Turkey in the person of Professor Lale Yeprem from Istanbul, who is the new president of WFOT from September 1, 2024 and is to host in Istanbul 2026 the next 9th Congress of the Federation.
